Reforming perceptions of ‘fast-food’

McDonald’s has launched a new ad to promote their Create Your Taste menu. The spot shows the lengths a father will go to for his daughter - swapping the motorbike for a pram, late night feedings and even tea party dress ups.

 

While this father would ‘do anything for love’ the ad leaves viewers with the idea that the new McDonald’s Create Your Taste caters for adult tastes, while still offering the same experience for the kids.

 

The ad continues the “Very ‘Un-McDonald’s” campaign which launched in mid-2015, and aims to re-establish McDonald’s restaurants as a gourmet food experience.

Changing consumers’ current perceptions of the fast-food chain is a big task, but we think this ad cleverly shows that McDonald's is not just for kids.
