Mini's 360° virtual reality cinematic films

The line between games, ads and films is no longer as clear cut as it once was. For example Metal Gear Solid, a third person shooter game has recently been named one of the most realistic video games of all time with its open-ended gameplay and changing weather cues that all aim to make the experience as realistic as possible. Advertising and brand experiences are no different.

 

Mini’s latest foray into the world of virtual reality, has seen it team with Berlin based Creative agency KKLD* to release two six-minute 360° cinematic short films on Facebook. The aim of the films is to give viewers an instantly immersive virtual reality experience by dropping them straight into a storyline. 

 

Shot in Barcelona and promoted on different social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, you can take a look at the ‘Backwater’ and ‘Memories’ trailers below…
