Stockholm Airport’s Climate Portal
This might just be a solution to a common problem. How many sweaters do you really need to pack on a holiday when the weather is listed as ‘sunny’, are we talking warm sunny or slightly-sunny-and-could-turn-at-any-minute therefore requiring a few emergency sweaters?
The climate portal might just be of help if you’re transiting through Stockholm’s Arlanda Airport, Sweden’s biggest airport. The airport’s climate portal situated in terminal 5, mimics the current weather in selected destinations (hot destination, cold destination and mega city) by translating the listed destination temperature into the current room temperature of one of the portal’s three rooms. In addition to simulating the temperature, sounds, light and wind machines add to the selected destination’s weather experience.
Very cool and if you're in Stockholm, available to experience until August 31st!
